Poco X2- 6 Hidden features, Tips and Tricks

Poco X2 is best phone under Rs. 20,000 considering it's specifications it provides at such a decent price point. It prices Rs.15999 for base variant i.e 6GB, 64GB.
Here we will show you some hidden features, Tips and Tricks related to this device which will increase your user experience for sure.

1. Dark Mode

It is well known feature provided by different UIs. Not all smartphones have dark mode in feature built in themselves. Here on Poco X2 you can easily enable it in settings.
To enable it follow following taps
Settings <Display < Dark Mode
And turn dark mode on.

2. Notification led

According to on paper specifications of the device, POCO dosen’t provides you led notification light in this device. But you can see a small notification light in device by clicking on dialer pad *#*#7664#*#*.
But Unfortunately company provide it only on hardware. You are not going to get it on software as there is no setting to turn on this led notification.
Hope POCO will update this with updates.

3. Display Refresh Rate

The most advertised feature of POCO X2 was its 120Hz refresh rate display which you get in flagship devices. And we can not ignore the fact that more the refresh rate of phone more the power consumption through battery. This most advertised feature becomes con to some users as on 120Hz the phone consumes a lot battery.

To get rid from this situation you can make the phone back to 60Hz (unfortunately no option for 90Hz) by following steps.
Settings <Display <Refresh Rate
And select for 60Hz.

4. Hide punch hole

This may sound weird for some users as the dual punch hole gives a next level look to device. But there are some users as well who want notchless display and consider with black bezels. For them there are following steps.
Settings <Display <Notch and Staus bar
And select the option as per your preferences.

5. Fingerprint Type

You get side mounted finger print scanner with this device which also acts as power ON/OFF button. So there are two options with finger print scanner
  • First is touch and unlock.
  • Second one is press, touch and unlock.
You can change these settings by following steps below
Settings <Password and Security < Fingerprint<Finger Print recognisation method
And select the option which suits you.

6. Check Hardware working

You can check if all your phone is working well or not. For example display quality, touch response, colours on display, finger print scanner, mic, speakers, pixels, camera etc.
You can check all this by dialing *#6484#*#* on your dialer.
